Irene Anastasiadou

Irene Anastasiadou Irene Anastasiadou is a visiting researcher at the department of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences (IE&IS) at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). She holds a B.Sc in Philosophy and History of Science from the University of Athens (1999, thesis supervisor Assoc. Prof. Theodore Arabatzis) and a M.A. in Philosophy and History of Science and Technology from the University of Athens and the National Technical University of Athens (2001, thesis supervisor Ass. Prof. Aristotle Tympas). In her PhD thesis, awarded to her in January 2009, she discusses railway internationalization in interwar Europe and the emergence of a transnational European community (thesis supervisors Prof. Johan Schot, Prof. Gijs Mom). Upon completion of her thesis, she worked for two more years as a post-doctoral researcher at the IE&IS of the Tu/e. Her research was financed by the KSI research network (http://www.ksinetwork.nl/), and the Eurocores, Inventing Europe project (http://www.esf.org/activities/eurocores/running-programmes/inventing-europe.html). She is currently working on various publications.
